Seeing every site, plugin and theme in one place
A tour of the Sites page and its columns, the per-site tabs, groups and bulk plugin install, and the three screens that answer what is running and what has already run.
The point of one panel is not that it holds more buttons — it is that you can answer "what needs me today" without opening twenty wp-admins. Here is where each answer lives.
The Sites page
One row per site, with the things that go wrong most often as columns:
- Site — the address, the connection state (OK with the WordPress version, No plugin found, Paused), the Site Health badge and when we last read the site.
- Uptime — up or down right now, plus an hour-by-hour strip of the last twenty-four hours.
- Performance — the latest PageSpeed score as a ring; click it for mobile and desktop separately.
- Backup — how long ago the last backup ran, how many there are and how much space they take. Red means there is none.
- Plugins and Themes — how many are installed, with an amber ↑N for installable updates and a !N for updates this site cannot install yet.
Above the table, a row of cards summarises the whole account rather than the filtered list: sites needing updates (with the three worst linked), total sites, the upcoming payment, storage used and backups. The Latest WP pill is the WordPress version everything is compared against.
The filters narrow the list to a group, or to Active / Inactive / Needs update, and the search box matches on the address as you type.
One site, in tabs
Clicking a site opens its own page: Details, Uptime, Pagespeed, Backups, Plugins, Themes, Security, File integrity and Logs, most of them showing a count in the tab itself. The tab you are on stays in the address, so a link you paste into a ticket opens the same view.
The site name in the header is also a switcher: search for another site and jump straight to it, staying on the tab you were reading.
Plugins and Themes are the full inventory for that site — name, version, active or not, known vulnerabilities, update state, the lock switch and the delete button. WP Safer does not list the WordPress user accounts of a site; what you have per site is the administrator it signs in as.
Groups, and installing to many sites at once
Sites can be put into groups (Move to group in the row menu, or the Group row on the Details tab; the groups themselves are managed under Group Manager), and the group filter then narrows every list on the page.
Group Operations in the left menu is the one action that spans sites: Bulk plugin install. You pick a target — a single group or All My Sites — then the plugin, and WP Safer queues an install job per site. The plugin can come from WordPress.org search, a ZIP address, a ZIP you upload (50 MB maximum), your favourites or your previously uploaded files.
It installs; it does not update. To bring outdated plugins up to date across several sites, use Update all on each site, or turn on automatic updates for them.
What is running and what has run
- Tasks — everything queued or running right now, in three tabs: general tasks, backup jobs and restore jobs.
- Logs → Activity — every command WP Safer has run on your sites, filterable by action and period, with Success or Failed per row. Logs → Backups is the same for backup runs.
- Each site repeats its own slice of that activity on its Logs tab.
Between those three screens, "what did we do to this site, and when" is a question with an answer — which is most of what a maintenance report is made of. See Status pages and maintenance reports.
